FINE WINE SALES ADMINISTRATOR
Founded in 1870, Davy’s Wine Merchants is an importer, wholesaler and retailer. Our fine wine sales are growing rapidly and we are seeking a senior, experienced fine wine Sales Administrator with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a dedicated fine wine merchant. Reporting to the Fine Wine Sales Manager, this is a key role, requiring excellent customer service skills and significant expertise in all areas of fine wine administration, including ongoing development of company systems to take the business forward.
Key duties
· Fine wine order processing (Ex-cellar, IB & DP) and administration for private and trade customers
· Responding to availability enquiries from private and trade customers
· Working with the Fine Wine Sales Manager to create fine wine offers of IB and XC wines, drafting weekly e-shots
· Update blogs, wine news, market analysis and contribute to social media feeds
· Assist with providing fine wine content and product information for the website
· Fine Wine List maintenance (various media) with daily updates, publishing to website
· Maintain Fine Wine sales order dashboard and Cellar Plan customer dashboard
· Monthly transfers and annual statements, updating customers on balances as required
· Drinking recommendations to private reserve customers
· Preparation of valuations for purchase / sale of customer wines on Liv-Ex
· Administer annual storage statements and admin of customer storage accounts
· Compile tasting sheets for and attend company fine wine tastings and occasional dinners
· Coordinate fine wine meetings, creating agendas and minutes
Key Skills/Qualifications
Exemplary attention to detail
Demonstrable experience in developing administrative systems within a comparable organisation
Advanced skills with Microsoft Navision (or similar software e.g. Vintner, Maginus), minimum 2 years
Experience (2 years +) Sales support in a traditional wine merchant
Advanced skills with MS Office (Word, Excel), including advanced spread sheet design
Experience with CRM / database management and creating mail shots
Experience with maintaining Wine Searcher Listings and Liv-Ex data feeds
WSET Level 3 or equivalent, with excellent fine wine knowledge, confident wine communicator
Excellent standard of literacy, accuracy and grammar in all written communication
Salary: From £29k, commensurate with experience, plus performance related bonus scheme, a generous team discount scheme and other benefits
