The role
The role of Pricing and Promotions Analyst sits in our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, where you will be responsible for assessing the financial impact of customer counter proposals during price negotiation, as well as managing and submitting the MMVF (mid-month volumes forecast) and comments on key variances.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Prepare and issue the MMVF as well as comments on variances by liaising with Commercial and counterparts in the affiliates not directly invoiced
- Monitoring and evaluating price promotions (pre and post), sharing results (key KPIs) in a consistent manner and liaise with Commercial to ensure that guidelines issued by GTR are adhered to
- Build profitability analysis model and regular catch ups with Commercial team
- Responsible for profitability analysis of various pricing initiatives and compilations of PL’s for NPD’s (new product development)
- Provide what if analysis for the yearly customer negotiations and ad hoc as requested
- Update Pricing models to assess Commercial team in the pricing negotiations
- Preparing, uploading, and analysing pricing information required by Global Pricing Tool (RADAR), sharing key findings with Commercial, proposing recommendations to improve profitability and following up on action items
- Split PL’s by country and provide data for DASH model
- Assist Pricing and Promotion Manager with Global Travel Retail ad-hoc pricing requests
- Consolidate all RSP data received from Commercial for Essbase load
- Provide depletions summaries/commentaries analysis for key customers
About you
You will have worked within a Pricing role previously and be either part of fully CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified. It is a strong preference that you will be working in either the wine and spirits industry or FMCG.
Additional experience required:
- Proficient with MS Office tools with mastery in Excel;
- Well-developed logical, analytical problem solving skills;
- A goal driven individual that is both an independent worker and a strong team player;
- Ability to work with tight deadlines;
- Exposure to multiple currency environment.
