Roberson Wine is a multi-award winning business, specialising in the wines of the U.S.A. and France. Our Off-Trade department is a small team with big ambitions. We are looking for a creative and dynamic salesperson to build and maintain sales to independent retailers in the UK.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a sales-focused job for a target-driven candidate who wants to make a significant contribution to the growth and future shape of the department. You will:
Generate new business leads and sales in the independent retail sector.
Maintain and develop existing business.
Devise and deliver exciting and impactful sales campaigns.
Represent and promote Roberson Wine's superb list of agency and non-agency wines at events and tastings.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a goal-focused, innovative person to fit within a small team. You’ll need a good all-round set of sales and marketing skills as well as a love of wine. If you think that could be you, please apply, even if you don’t tick every box on the list below.
Experience - At least one year's sales experience with a track record of hitting sales targets.
Technical aptitude - You will need to be technically-minded, able to read and organise a spreadsheet accurately and have a solid working knowledge of business software. Proficiency with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop would be an advantage.
Wine knowledge - WSET Level 2 or above.
Other characteristics - You will be self-starting, creative, sales-focused, hardworking, organised, intelligent, accurate and a good communicator via email and telephone.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
Salary – Dependent on skills and experience.
Benefits – Performance-related annual bonus scheme, generous staff discount, in-house wine training with producers, formal WSET wine training.
Hours – 9am-5.30pm, Monday to Friday, plus some out of hours work at tasting events.
