Operations Winemaker (Still Wine) (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Itasca Wines is looking for a full-time Operations Winemaker focusing on still wine production to join its team in a new and exciting role. We have built a world class winemaking facility in Hampshire and are expanding to the Crouch Valley in Essex to meet the growing demand for ultra premium still Pinot Noir red and Chardonnay white wines.

The Role:

- Responsibility for overseeing the day to day winemaking operations focusing on ultra premium still wine production

- Working with and under direction from the Head Winemaker to implement winemaking protocols

- Managing a small team of cellar staff throughout the year

- Maintenance and repair of high spec winery machinery

- Review, update and implement SOPs

- Schedule work flow using winery software

 

About you:

- Good technical understanding of still winemaking and experience in a range of cellar skills

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills

- Great attention to detail

- Self-motivated and well organised

- Ability to lift 20kg

- Ability to fit into a small team

- Willingness to embrace a flexible working environment/culture

- Counter-balance forklift licence desirable

- Visa sponsorship available for the right candidate
