We have a rare opportunity for a commercially confident and driven Business Manager, with excellent Fine Wine knowledge and experience, to join our Sales team. You would be joining a successful team with some exciting opportunities ahead. The role is home/field based accessible to our regional office in Twickenham. You will take ownership of all fine wine (FW) sales in the Specialist Retail channel, leading with Penfolds & leveraging other key TWE wineries.

Some of your key responsibilities as the Business Manager, Fine Wine will include: 

• Sell 100% of nominated allocations at a customer level through exceptional execution of the annual Penfolds collection plan

• Deliver new distribution/listings for Penfolds and other TWE premium/luxury wines to deliver the budgeted plan.

• Achieve NSR, distribution and GP targets as agreed  for nominated account base

• Develop customer relationships in line with agreed channel plan and commercial requirements

• Identify a target list for premium wine growth, as agreed

• Input into FWT strategy through ownership of the Specialist Retail Channel plan

• Establish a FW network internally and externally

• Accurate and timely reporting of monthly performance

• Liaison with Marketing key stakeholders

• Attend trade tasting/events as required

To be our next Business Manager, Fine Wine you will have:

• WSET diploma level or higher (or equivalent knowledge/qualification)

• Good experience in the UK wine industry, with proven FW and national / key account management sales experience.

• Outstanding fine wine selling skills

• Detailed understanding of how to develop successful partnerships with FW customers.

• Confidence and ability to deal with leading industry figures up to MW level.

• Knowledge and capability to understand and leverage TWE winemaking assets.

• Influencing and negotiation skills

• Commercial acumen

• Extensive contacts within the UK fine wine industry and strong current relationships.

• Hands on experience of working in a winery would be an advantage

• Powerpoint, Excel etc skills
