We are looking for an Engineering Technician to provide technical expertise to ensure maximum efficiency and performance from engineering assets and delivery of the engineering strategy and compliance with all relevant H&S, BRC & ISO legislation at all times.
Based in our bottling hall at our flagship Distillery in Dufftown, the spiritual home of our company, where our founder created the first dram of Glenfiddich 125 years ago, this role will support and enable the ambitious plans of a growing global spirits company with a portfolio of premium brands, including Glenfiddich, Hendricks Gin and Grant's whisky to name but a few.
As a vital member of the Engineering Team, you will be responsible for a number of key tasks including:
Ensure compliance with relevant H&S, BRC, and ISO legislation during all work activities.
To provide technical support to ensure maximum efficiency from production and engineering assets, ensuring planned and corrective maintenance tasks are completed as scheduled.
Manage contractors as/when required as per contractor management procedure.
Ensure maximum business benefit from all budget spend.
Build and maintain key relationships with bottling and vat hall personnel, to ensure objectives and the Dufftown engineering strategy is delivered.
Provide a high level of customer service at all times.
To lead and support team based improvement projects and provides support to NPD/Project engineering departments throughout all project stages.
Contributes appropriately to team meetings and supports the implementation of all team initiatives.

The successful candidate should be HNC qualified in an electrical or Mechanical engineering and have significant experience and knowledge of relevant area (FMCG environment, building services) knowledge of H&S legislation as well as being qualified in relevant Engineering discipline having served a recognised apprenticeship. Have excellent planning and implementation skills and Be a self starter and has the confidence to work on their own initiative.
