Store Manager- Dalkey Store (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

The Role

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

• Comply with company policy at all times.
• Comply with all legislation relevant to the operation of an off-licence.
• Comply with company policy with regard to the sale of alcohol and cigarettes at all times
• Deliver excellence in customer care at all times while constantly aiming to improve levels of customer care
• Maximise all sales opportunities by using the O’Brien’s Customer Service and Selling Skills Standard
• Motivate and direct staff to maximise their performance at work in order to maintain an efficient store operation
• Demonstrate excellent product knowledge in line with training and information received while constantly aiming to improve your own levels of product knowledge.
• Encourage and facilitate other staff members in your off-licence to improve their own levels of product knowledge.
• Ensure company security procedures are followed at all times regarding the control of cash drops, cash reconciliations, cash lodgements, keys, access to safes, alarm systems, staff purchases, shrinkage, access to non-customer area etc
• Ensure all administration paperwork (rosters, timesheets, cash sheets etc.) is completed accurately and on-time.
• Ensuring that extremely high operational standards within the store are maintained
• Supervising and training junior members of staff.

The Person

• A genuine passion for our products and excellent wine knowledge is essential - WSET Qualifications are preferrable !!
• Extremely customer-focused with a passion for delivering a high end shopping experience.
• Understands the day-to-day running of a retail store, hard working with strong operational skills.
• Able to communicate effectively and confidently with customers.
• Committed to driving sales and contributing to business development opportunities.
• Has previous managerial/supervisory experience within a similar environment.
• A great personality, high energy, friendly, and an ability to motivate a team.
• Enthusiastic and eager to expand wine knowedge through training courses provided by the company
• A positive can-do attitude with a desire to progress career in a rewarding retail environment.
