We are now seeking a dedicated Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant to join our Team on a full time basis (although in exceptional circumstances part time hours may be considered) to assist with the day to day management of all financial matters.
Key Responsibilities
Maintaining accurate and complete, accounting records
Preparing Budgets and projections on an ongoing basis
Monitoring Bank Balances and preparing Cash Forecasts, as necessary
Preparing timely Management Accounting Information and monitoring of performance against Budgets / projections
Preparing and submitting of Grant claims
Preparing and submitting of Vat Returns (UK & RoI)
Costing / production analysis
Maintaining a Fixed Asset Register
Maintaining Stock Records
Preparing other Financial Analysis and returns, as required
Preparing year end Accounts and supporting schedules for Audit
Providing information as part of the Audit Process
(Allocating and overseeing the work of any Assistant
Inputting Bank transactions onto Excel and Sage, reconciling Bank Statements an ongoing basis
Raising Sales Invoices and inputting onto Sage
Posting Receipts onto Sage
Credit Control - chasing arrears by phone and in writing
Inputting Purchase Invoices to Sage and processing payments
Stock and production control
Reconciling Debtors and Creditors balances with third party information
Preparing Bank Lodgements
Counting and recording any cash / credit card receipts
Undertaking of any other duties commensurate with the remit of the post as required
Ideal person: -
Professionally Qualified Accountant (or Part Qualified Accountant) (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
A minimum of three years’ experience in an accounting function ideally within a manufacturing background to include monthly reporting, annual budget preparation, cash flow reporting.
Experience of using computerised Sage Accounting package, preferably Sage Line 50, and strong Excel skills
Good administration and organisational skills
Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and ability to maintain confidentiality
