Key responsibilities:
- Support the Managed Estate as required in all HR related matters.
- Work with the Retail Operations Manager and Retail HR Manager to strengthen the Employer Brand in relation to the Managed Estate.
- Provide practical ‘step by step’ guidance and coaching to unit managers and employees, on people-matters, including policies and procedures and contractual obligations, enabling line managers to be effective people managers.
- Supporting recruitment across the retail estate, including managing the ATS for designated sites.
- Supporting the delivery of employee engagement activities including attending employee forums.
- Handling employee relations issues, including terminations, redundancies, disciplinary and grievance implementation, employee counselling and absence management; consulting with an escalating where appropriate to the Retail HR Manager.
- Support harmonisation of non-standard terms and conditions with new acquisitions.
- Support variation to employee contracts administration across designated sites.
- Supporting employees throughout the HR life cycle (i.e. from joining through to termination).
- Partner with designated unit managers to understand the work environment.
- Provide guidance and support to line managers in the options available to address poor performance.
- Manage absences and return to work, monitor individual absence and help to reduce absenteeism across the managed estate.
- Manage departures where necessary.
- Support the Retail HR Manager on ad hoc projects as and when required
