Job Description

Title: International Customer Service

Hours: Full Time – 35 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Location: Cheadle, SK8

Role and responsibilities:

  • Work within a busy export customer service team dealing with a high volume of customer enquiries and orders via email.
  • Take full ownership of customer orders from start to finish. Check stock availability, enter orders accurately on the system, inform customer of any potential issues with supply, invoice in a timely manner when order has dispatched.
  • Facilitate strong relationships with suppliers, vineyards, and producers and ensure they understand what we require from them to deliver our promises to our customers.
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers and establish relationships with new customers.
  • Ensure correct export documentation is supplied for customs clearance.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure you understand their customers in depth.
  • Support sales team where required so that they are free to actively pursue selling opportunities.
  • Work cross functionally with other departments within the business especially finance to ensure pricing / invoicing claims and credits are resolved quickly to reduce the impact on possible outstanding debt.
  • Maintain customer pricing databases in the system.
  • Be on hand to help with organising and shipping samples via courier. Produce relevant documentation.

Candidate requirements:

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • An excellent telephone manner and be confident to pick up the phone and talk through issues when email is not timely or appropriate.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to write and speak articulately, understanding that many of our supply partners speak English as a second language.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and be able to absorb information via different channels.
  • Strong admin skills.
  • Thrive as part of a team but also be able to work proactively on your own initiative.
  • A problem solver: provide solutions and prevent reoccurrence.
  • Determination with a ‘can do’ mindset. Willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Good organisation skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure.
  • Computer literate with good Microsoft Office Skills.
  • Willingness to embrace change and learn new skills.
  • Commercially focused.
  • Background in export desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to speak a foreign European language useful but not essential.
