The Institute of Masters of Wine is a global membership organisation, recognised for having the most highly respected qualification in the wine world.
We are looking for a driven and experienced marketing and communications manager, in a new senior role, to lead the Institute’s outreach and communications work, working with our vibrant team in central London.
The successful candidate is responsible for building the profile of the Institute across a diverse group of global stakeholders - Members, students, Supporters and other sponsors, press, and industry partners. In doing so s/he will champion the work of the IMW worldwide, informing, engaging and inspiring key industry figures so that the Institute is better promoted, explained and understood at every level.
The Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for bringing an evidence-based approach, coupled with a commercial mind-set, to the marketing function.
The successful candidate will have strong administrative skills, with a proven track record in delivering projects on time and to budget as well as exceptional interpersonal and team management skills. They will lead a small team coordinating highly engaged but volunteer Masters of Wine in all aspects of the Institute’s outreach activities. Knowledge of the global wine industry is not a requirement but could be advantageous.
Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
