This newly refurbished traditional family run Gastro business on the outskirts of Bedfordshire is looking for a strong and committed F&B Manager to join, lead and motivatethe team to success.
As F&B Manager you will be responsible for the smooth running of all FOH services through close liaison with the Head Chef,Owners and service team.
You must be able to develop a team and motivate themto deliver the highest levels of service and exceeding guests expectations at all times with a warm welcome.
Main Duties of F&B Manager:
- To be part of the team with a visible presence on the floor throughout service times to ensure the standards are met
- Continuously review service standards and procedures and implement the necessary actions to improve them
- Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure menus, private functions and adhoc changes are addressed, agreed and communicated to the team.
- Be responsible for the effective and efficient recruitment of qualified staff within the restaurant and to keep an accurate record hours worked, lieu time and holidays
- Manage shift coverage, work load & resource distribution
- Manage and deliver an effective training and development system for all restaurant staff to ensure that this information is used effectively in order to meet their particular expectations
- To ensure that the system is up date with new menu prices
- Monitor and control the direct costs
- Maximise sales and profitability and initiate promotions
- Be a key player in the senior management team
- Be responsible for the overall cleanliness and organization of the restaurant areas at all times through regular monitor and training
- To be responsible for the welfare and staff morale with in the restaurant and to regularly discuss with individuals through regular appraisals
- Proactively monitor & respond to guest comments & feedback
- Drive innovation, identify & resolve issues & challenge current procedures to ensure continuous improvement of service
- Manage appropriate stocking & usage of linen, glassware, china & silverware
Requirements of F&B Manager:
- Hotel Management Diploma and/or University degree
- Previous experience in a rosette or similar environment
- Experience in a Leadership role
- Fluent written and verbal English
- Experience in Financial and budget management
- People Management
