Supplier Development Analyst (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Full Time

  Accolade Wines UK

  Bristol, England

About us

Drawing on a proud heritage with one of the first wineries established in Australia, Accolade Wines has evolved into a global wine company with some of the world’s best-known brands sold in over 100 countries, including Australia, the UK, Mainland Europe, the US, South America, Canada, South Africa, Japan and China.

The business is the number one wine company by volume in the UK and Australia, with a portfolio of brands ranging from the historic Hardys through to Kumala, the number one South African wine brand in the UK.

About the role.

We have a high volume of suppliers to our site in Accolade Park from direct goods suppliers such as bottles, labels or corrugate to indirect suppliers such as engineering spares, services or logistics.  This role supports our supplier development programme and you will be responsible for data collection, analysis and the reporting of supplier performance. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure key metrics are accurately recorded and compile a monthly dashboard.  You’ll also attend all of our supplier meetings where you will have a voice and be heard. This role provides autonomy and you’ll be encouraged to identify continuous improvements and bring new ideas.

Reporting into our Supplier Development Manager, you will be part of a friendly team who support each other and work closely together so expect to make new friends.  This is a fast paced role, the beginning of each month is our busiest period but less pressurised the rest of the month. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Using your excel skills to build complex charts, manipulating data and creating monthly supplier performance dashboards
  • Monitoring, analysing, and reporting on trends and tracking ongoing supplier performance
  • Identifying reporting gaps and developing and implementing new reporting methods and tools
  • Scheduling, attending and contributing to monthly supplier meetings including minute taking
  • Understanding and resolving data inconsistencies
  • Providing supplier related data support to our procurement function

About you

It’s important that you have experience in an analytical role in a busy environment. Your background will ideally be in a supply chain / manufacturing function but this is not essential.  You’ll be skilled at data analysis and revel in working with and manipulating large sets of data. You’ll be a whiz on MS Excel (Advanced level) and experience of MS Access would be beneficial.

You’ll enjoy working with internal stakeholders and suppliers and with great communication skills you’ll be confident in meetings.   You’ll be obsessed with data and love producing dashboards and won’t be afraid to provide new ideas and relish the chance to find a better way.

We are a multi award winning company and like us you will have a passion for wine, we’ll even place  you on a free one day wine tasting course (WSET).
