In this role
You will be required to co-ordinate and support the creation and operation of all relevant product specifications & quality plans to facilitate the running of the site in a controlled manner with a fundamental emphasis on quality assurance at all stages. You must develop, lead and manage a team of Technical Team Leaders in the day to day operation of bulk wine receipt and bulk wine management and all related quality assurance practices. You will also be required to continuously challenge, innovate and improve the department performance through the implementation of a Lean culture and operational philosophy.
Key tasks will include
- HACCP – To be a key member of the HACCP team and lead internal audits. Supporting role to the QMS manager in HACCP reviews and external/customer audits.
- People – To manage and develop a team of technical team leaders, facilitating the flow of communication and optimising processes between tankhouse, lab and production.
- To support and develop the application of internal quality systems by encouraging production teams to maintain and improve quality standards. This to be achieved through a visible, supportive presence in the production areas, and by ensuring that established quality control procedures are understood and adhered to.
- To co-ordinate annual service, calibration and all associated equipment maintenance to ensure continuous availability ensuring operational requirements are met. Ensuring this is done in a cost effective manner.
- RFT – key lead in managing the logging, monitoring and reporting of NCR’s to facilitate the capture and follow-up of any quality issues associated with incoming wine shipments, incoming packaging materials, process areas & packaging line procedures/performance, and customer/consumer complaints, and to ensure all rework follows due process.
- To provide a standardised approach toward investigation, trialling and shelf life testing. Report on and recommend action related to specific wine, packaging material or operational requirements.

Ideally you will have this experience..
- Relevant experience within a production environment, preferably within a FMCG.
- Supervisor/Management qualification/experience (e.g. ILM3).
