We have an opportunity for a Financial Accounting Analyst to join our friendly Finance Team at our Accolade Park site in Bristol which employs over 500 people. Our Bristol site houses the largest bottling plant in the Northern Hemisphere.

About the role
This is a busy role in a fast paced environment. It’s the perfect role for someone looking to progress a career in Accountancy and wishing to study ACCA or CIMA – study support will be provided. This role provides a great foundation to Accountancy.
Reporting to our Financial Accountant you will be responsible for supporting our Finance Accounting Team, ensuring that our month end requirements are completed in line with our corporate guidelines. This includes ensuring all prepayments and accruals are booked correctly in our financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations. You will also be responsible for running our monthly inter-company process and ad hoc reporting. (Training will be provided)
This role offers variety; you’ll be exposed to Treasury, Tax and more with the scope to continuously develop to support your future career progression in a finance function. Your key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring prepayments and accruals are booked correctly into the financial statements
- Carrying out intercompany processes and liaising with other companies to reconcile monthly balances
- Monthly variance analysis of corporate overheads and reviewing with business partners
- Preparation of bank reconciliations and trial balance
- Assisting with the preparation of group & statutory accounts as required
- Responsibility for the management of One Source template in preparation for statutory accounts
- Assisting with ad hoc queries
About you
You could be a graduate or someone with relevant experience in a finance function eager to learn and looking to progress into an accountancy role.
You will ensure accuracy in everything you do combined with good written and verbal communication skills. You’ll work well under pressure particularly during our month end which is our busiest time.
You’ll have great analytical skills and be a whiz on Excel. You’ll be confident and have a positive outlook and a can do attitude and not afraid to look for a better way of doing things. You’ll enjoy working in a busy team and supporting your colleagues.
