The Borough Arms
Built in the 1850's to service the trains that took china clay from the moor down to the port at Padstow, The Borough Arms is a traditional pub situated within easy reach of Bodmin and Wadebridge and sited directly upon the Camel Trail; a disused railway line that runs from Bodmin to Padstow which is popular with walkers, cyclists and horse riders.
The trail is accessed from the large car park at the end of the pub and is free to use and open all year round.
We are proud to create a welcoming atmosphere for all. For those stopping for a bite, the Borough's creative menu, speacials board and carvery will have you coming back for more (we hope!). For those in need of a well-earned rest after being in the Camel Trail, we bring you our coffee shack with St Austell Brewery’s very own Brewer & Bean Coffee.
Dog friendly in the bar area, we serve food throughout the pub and outside on the patio, the children’s playing area and to the benches by the hedge, providing a relaxing environment for all the family to enjoy.
The General Manager role....
You will have a minimum of five years’ experience at a General Management level and will need to be able to demonstrate proven success of managing a high food led business, ideally supported with accommodation experience.
We are looking for a manager who is passionate about service excellence whilst maintaining a relaxed, warm and friendly atmosphere and with bags of charisma and drive who can manage and develop a like-minded team of individuals to offer the very highest standards and delivery. Strong people management and development skills and experience are paramount as is the ability to work to financial targets and manage a P&L. This is a rare opportunity to continue developing a successful, high quality business in one of England’s most beautiful locations.
